Exchange Frankfurt 2019

Our students of 4º ESO : Juanma , Maksym , Iván, Manuel, Jesús, Jorge, Jan, Silvia, Claudia N., Carmen, Mº Carmen, Nayely, Elizabeth, Carolina, Claudia A.,, Marta,Candela, Sara, Paula ande Andrea travelled to Frankfurt from 23th -30th of March. Our increidble experience started on 23th of March of 2019. This Saturday all of us were so excited to meet our exchange partners. Finally, that night we slept in Germany. Well, not really because we were so nervous that we couldn´t sleep. The next day, on Sunday, we spent the whole day with the families and our friends. The programme of the German students was full of activities: a gymkana in the city of Dreiech, bowling, a guided tour around Frankfurt. We spent the day in the magical and fairy-tale city of Marburg, where we were told a lot of interesting stories about the Brohters Grimm and their famous tales: "Cinderella", "The Frog Prince", "The Goose-Girl" , "Hansel and Gretel, "Rapunzel", "Sleeping Beauty" . We enjoyed the week quite a lot because we met a lo of interesting people. The pity was that everything has an end and we had to take off the plane to return to Spain. We were sad and happy at the same time because we were going to see our German friends in more or less fifteen days . The German students came in May from 7th to 14th and, of course, we prepared many activities for them, as well. They were shown our school; they had a guided tour in Reina Sofia Museum, where they could see the famous painting “Guernica”. They felt very impressed. One of the activities that they most enjoyed was the guided visit to Toledo, Madrid and Aranjuez . Here, they could check how hot Spain is!!!!. Some of our students´comments : “This experience is so recommendable. You learn a lot from other cultures, another language and you meet new friends.” This is something that you have to do at least, once in your lifetime”!, “ I would repeat it”. As well, we would like to be grateful for all the people who have made the Germans feel comfortable during this week. We hope to continue with this exchange because it opens our minds, and our students´ attitude towards other cultures. At last, we would like to thank the families because of their implication and collaboration in this exchange. Without them, we couldn´t do anything, in spite of our great effort and wish. THANK YOU VERY MUCH ¡!
